We are a fourth generation farming family, with a tradition of welcoming guests to our home and park for over 40 years! We have a pedigree dairy herd and working farm alongside our Caravan and Camping Park.
The park opened in 1978 and welcomed their first guests who were then horse drawn caravans mainly supplied by local man Charlie Cullinane. The market was comprised of these caravans and tents at that time. The tent field in front of the house was where these caravans and tents were placed.
The toilet block was added next, and even the local rugby club played on the field beyond where the caravan stands are now and this was the humble beginnings of Clonakilty RFC.
The main house was a working farmhouse Bed & Breakfast for many years under the watchful eye of Dorothy and John who were renowned for their wonderful welcome and excellent breakfast! All of their five children were involved in both businesses growing up and made great friends and memories!
David, the youngest, remains farming here today and our family are also very lucky to have great memories of growing up in the caravan park and have made many friends over their childhood.
Many visitors have come and gone since the park opened, but most have returned time and time again and have become wonderful friends, and some even have become family!
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to visit us and make some more wonderful memories in the years to come.
